FAQ
Ordering & Compatibility
Will this fit my Super73?
Our Controller Upgrade is built specifically for your bike — when you order, you pick your exact Super73 model (ZX, Z-Adv, Z Miami, R/S Series, and the older Legacy-platform bikes are all supported as separate options). Our Key Ignitions and Baja headlight are designed as plug-and-play for the Super73 wiring harness. If you're not sure which option matches your bike, message us before ordering and we'll confirm fitment.
How long does a Controller Upgrade take to ship?
Controllers are built to order, not pulled off a shelf. Current production time typically runs 1–4 weeks before it ships. If you chose the optional 3" LED display, add roughly 2–7 extra days on top of that. We'll always have your order moving as fast as we reasonably can.
Do I need to know how to tune a controller?
No. The controller is tunable to your preference over Bluetooth using the app that ships with it, but if you don't know how to tune, we provide a stock tune that's ready to ride and easy to adjust later. If the stock tune doesn't feel right, that doesn't mean anything is broken — email us or DM us on whichever platform you found us on and we'll help you dial it in.
Installation
Do I need to cut any wires or modify my bike?
No. Every Apex Electric product is plug-and-play — it connects into your Super73's existing wiring. No factory wires cut, no soldering. That also means installs are quick and fully reversible if you ever need to go back to stock.
What's the difference between the Key Ignition V1 and V2?
The V1 plugs inline with the throttle, so removing the key stops throttle input. The V2 plugs into the brake sensor instead, which cuts both throttle and pedal assist when the key is out — a more complete anti-theft setup than the V1 or a stock kill switch.
Support & Warranty
What if something goes wrong with my controller or bike?
We stand behind our tuning support and will help you troubleshoot any controller issue — just reach out. That said, we aren't able to take responsibility for damage to other components of your bike caused by controller use, so please follow our tuning guidance and reach out before pushing settings you're unsure about.
How do I get help or check on my order?
The fastest way to reach us is through our Contact page, email, or a DM on whichever platform you found us on. Have your order number ready and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
